This web page is designed for our pleasure and fun.  We have planned a trip "South" to Florida for the past five years and was finally able to carry out our plans this year.

We departed Solomons, Maryland destined for Sarasota, Florida, crossing the Okeechobee waterway.  We planned a four week trip!  Our plans were somewhat shortened due to weather!  We ended up having to cut short our trip and leave our boat in Beaufort, S.C.

The following is an account of our trip, our adventures and the many wonderful people we met.

We hope this web site will be of some interest and helpful to the many sailors making the trip "South".
